Doug, Jennifer, Jessie and Hillary Newton Canmore, Alberta Condolences from the Newton’s of Alberta. How lucky we were growing up in St. Marys with Uncle Pete and family just a couple of doors down on Elizabeth Street. Lots of special memories of annual Christmas get togethers, summer weekends on the Wildwood Queen, Grand Bend, fish fries, etc. Pete and brother Ken always had a special relationship. And if you had to find a $500 car as a teenager, Uncle Pete was the guy to see!

Owning the garage in Ailsa Craig we did business with Peter for many years. He was also a great friend to us and have lots of good memories at work and the odd day out together here and there. You could not ask for a nicer person and he will be missed. Thinking of his family at this time

We are sending condolences to all of Pete’s family on his passing . He was a real presence in St Marys for many years in his car dealership and other activities. (I think my Dad, Ken Dunsford bought a number of Dodge cars from him in the early days). In later years he gave true neighborly support to Mom, (Ruth Dunsford ) when she lived on Elizabeth Street. To the Newton Family.... When we lived down the street from Pete, we had got a new car and Pete was standing on the sidewalk at his house. He took a great interest in us going by and later that afternoon he was in our drive checking the car out. We had a great conversation about the car and he enjoyed the tour of it.
