David & John,
My husband, John, who has lived in Granton over 50 years, and I have many wonderful memories of your dad’s tips & garden wisdom which he would generously share along with any extra tomatoes and peppers for our young family. One particular memory is of Harold running down the road at the side of our 10 year old son who was a latent bike rider. Although we had tried for years to support him in learning to ride his bike, it was Harold who had the magic to unlock the freedom of his bicycle for our son. I know Andrew greatly appreciated Harold’s patience and encouragement. In later years we were apt to be treated to an update on Harold & Sharon’s sons and grandchildren of whom they were very proud.
May your memories comfort you through your grief.

From one of his other nieces. I was young when this ripped handsome uncle of mine arrived at the farm with has beautiful new bride with his convertible. Harold was very easy to talk to and as smart as a whip. At various jobs I found myself talking to neighbours of Harold and Sharon. Both were highly regarded by them. I remember calling him often when he was in the hospital in Toronto. Our prayers are with you Dave and John. Cynthia and Harvey Welsh

Harold was a very nice man. He would visit and spend time on our front porch. We would listen to his stories and have quite a few laughs. We will miss him.
