Obituary of Margaret Rose Sterner
Margaret "Maggie" Rose Sterner passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Memorial Hospital on September 22, 2025, at the age of 66. Born February 9th,1959, she was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret and John Sterner.
Maggie is survived by her children, Billy Bart, Benji Bart, Bernadette(Kevin)Heyse-Wilson, Megan(Brent)Trudgeon, Robert Ashby and Kelsey Ashby. She was a devoted grandmother to Hunter, Mackenzie, Alex, Emily, Grace, Ryland, Vivian, Luke, Peyton, Owen, Axel, Dante, Kairo, Aedan, and Asher. She will also be dearly missed by her sisters Patricia(Ralph)Doney, Lucy Sterner, and Michelle Sterner-Goulding along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members that also hold her in their hearts.Margaret was predeceased by her sister Carol Sterner and daughter Brandi Bart.
Her family and grandchildren were her greatest joy and legacy. Maggie was a remarkable soul-someone who faced life's hardships with quiet strength and unwavering determination. A talented writer and natural artist, she loved to create and express herself through her art. She enjoyed music and dancing, with Janis Joplin among her favourites. She had a gift for bringing light and laughter wherever she went and she shared her kindness with everyone she met. She also had a deep love for nature and animals. She had a love for food and enjoyed cooking for her loved ones as well as dining out and trying new cuisines whenever she could with sushi being a top contender. Besides being a dedicated homemaker most of her life, she also had the opportunity to work at Goodwill Industries for ten years, where she took pride in helping others and serving her community. Her strength was hard-won, her kindness was boundless, and her energy was unforgettable.
Her memory will be cherished always for her big heart, her creative spirit, and her unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and always remembered. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
