Obituary of Raymond George Bentley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond George Bentley on October 15, 2025, at University Hospital in London, at the age of 93.

Raymond was reunited with his beloved wife of over 70 years, Marilyn (Edgar) Bentley, who passed away just 42 days earlier. Their enduring love and devotion were a source of inspiration to all who knew them.

Marilyn and Ray shared a remarkable partnership in both life and business. Together, they owned and operated several ventures over the years, culminating in Ray Bentley Construction, through which they built custom homes throughout the London area. Their dedication and craftsmanship left a lasting legacy in the community.

Raymond was a cherished father to his sons, Jeff (Cheryl) and Scott (Ada), and a proud grandfather to Trevor (Jessi), Rachael, and Emma. He was also a loving brother to his sisters, Shirley Vaile and Pat Riddick, and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

A celebration of life honoring both Marilyn and Raymond will be held on November 22, 2025, at the Lions Active Living Centre in Lucan (263 Main Street), 11:30 AM - 3 PM. All who knew and loved them are warmly invited to attend.
