Dave was a good neighbour and a great friend to me for almost forty years. Kind, gentle, wise and funny - a man who had endured loss and hardship, but still filled our world with humour and stories.He adored three things - horses, children and that goofy dog Buster. I’m indebted to him for all that he did to encourage our daughter in her passion with horses, and how proud he was when she finished vet school. Without him throughout her childhood and adolescence, she would not have been so successful. Many many adventures together, trail rides, horse escapades, parades, trailering around the province, guiding in the valley, weddings, driving lessons(!!!), birthdays, suppers and festivities - all the times we spent together have given me the happiest of memories.
Happy trails, David old friend. Thank you for all that you did for all of us. You will always be remembered as one of the world’s blessings.
