Obituary of Marguerite Mary Griffiths

With full hearts and fond memories, we celebrate the life of Marguerite Mary Griffiths, who passed away at St Marys Memorial Hospital, just two days before her 85th birthday. Marg lived a life rich in love, laughter, and adventure, and her legacy continues to shine brightly through the many lives she touched.

Born in London, Ontario, Marg was the beloved daughter of Lawrence and Muriel Chisholm (née Harding). She was sister to Chris Chisholm and is lovingly remembered by her sons James (Susan) and Michael Griffiths, grandchildren Jason, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Lindsay, Kenneth, Jacob, and Thomas Griffiths, Brett and Adam Hyatt, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” Griffiths, and brothers Edward, Dave, and Gerald Chisholm.

Marg began her professional journey as a teacher, later dedicating herself to raising her family. She returned to the workforce with Kent Marketing, where her leadership and dedication led her to retire as company president. Her career was only one chapter in a life filled with purpose and passion.

Together with Bob, Marg traveled the world, embracing new cultures and experiences with joy and curiosity. Her cottage on Lake Huron and her vacation home in Puerto Vallarta were places of joy, laughter, and togetherness—where many memories were made with family and friends.

Marg was known for her wisdom, warmth, and genuine interest in others. She had a way of making people feel heard and valued, and her presence brought enjoyment to those around her. Her final years at Fairhill Residence in St Marys were filled with companionship and care, for which her family is deeply grateful.

In keeping with Marg’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honour her remarkable journey.

Marg’s lived her life with love, strength, and generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
