To Laura and all the Riordan family,
Our deepest condolences, Paul's passing came as a huge shock to us, he was a dear friend whose flair for comedy, drama, and endless conversations pondering the state of affairs of the world, current experiences in life, and his outrage at things that didnt go just the way he figured they should, were all a part of the unique, tough guy, and empathetic listener that he was. We will miss him very much. Our thoughts are with you all, sending love and hugs to each of you.....

It wasn’t a weekend without Uncle Paul showing up at Melissa and Chloe’s sometime between 3am and 6am, he would be banging around in the kitchen making tomato soup. He never stayed awake long enough to finish cooking it, let alone eat it, Melissa would get up, turn everything off, toss a blanket over him on the couch. A few short hours later, he’d get up, devour breakfast and be on his way.
To Chloe, you were always Uncle Paul!

To all of our Riordan family...one never knew for sure the outcome of one of Paul's visits to the many functions we were at, either with family or friends, but we knew when he arrived!!! He was always Chicago, full of confidence, full of bravado and you never knew what kind of comment you were going to get from him, if it was in sincerity, humor or you were just plain going to be a part of an unbelievable conversation!! He was an original, and we will miss him. Condolences to everyone... Love Rod and Charlotte
