In the fall of ‘92 our baseline community grew with 3 new families. One of those families were the Brant’s Little did we know how important they would become in our daily lives. Our children were always welcomed over to swim….often getting a call saying we need them to stir up the pool. Of course they were more than happy to oblige. It didn’t end there…..camp fires, feeding the fish at the pond , supporting fundraisers, pig roasts and even family reunions…always fun to be had From the first warmth of the season until fall Ron would be in his red shorts cutting grass or tending to the garden or looking after the chickens There were many shenanigans over the years that made for great story telling…..Ron’s missing pheasant and the infamous duck story to name a couple. He helped us when needed …just like good neighbours do. I guess I will be first on the lawnmower this year and will forever miss the big wave from across the road while we cut grass.
