So sorry to hear the news of Jay's passing when I saw you at your cottage this past Saturday. Not always on top of the LFP news these days we missed Jay's passing on May 19. Helen and I , as neighbours in Bayfield hadn't seen you folks for quite sometime and I chalked it up to the two of you being quite busy this time of year with the business. Little did we know that you and the family were in the midst of Jay's illness these past months.
For the most part we'll be up at our cottage more this summer, so would like to offer our assistance in helping you out at your cottage when needed. Please just ask.
Again condolences to you and your family for this tragic loss of a very good man.

I was honoured to work with Jay during his time at Yundt Bros. and Armstrong Paving. Being on the "other"side of the fence - working on projects with the CIty of Stratford, our mutual respect for each other led to a strong working relationship. My sincere condolences to the Armstrong family. RIP buddy.

Jay gave a lot of young guys around town a chance when they needed one, myself included. I worked for him when I was younger, and while I’m sure I wasn’t always a model employee, I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities he gave me and the work ethic he helped teach me.
He truly cared about people and wanted to make a positive impact, and even years later he was always interested in how life was going whenever we’d run into each other.
He made an impact on a lot of people through both hockey and his business, and I know many of us are better off because of the chances he gave us.
Rest easy, Jay.
