Obituary of Susan Hutton

With sadness, we announce the passing of Susan Hutton (nee Pennie), in her 73rd year, on May 24, 2026 at St. Marys Memorial Hospital.

A wonderful woman, companion and spouse.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Donald after a marriage of 53 years. The eldest daughter of the late June and Ian Pennie. Survived by her sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Sally Rogers (Tim), Mary jean Udeschini (Marc), Dianne Pennie, James Hutton (Christine), Karen Stewart (Charles, predeceased), David Hutton (predeceased) and Mary Jane Hutton (predeceased). Much loved by her nieces and nephews Mark Rogers (predeceased), Jamie Rogers, Luke Udeschini, Lauren Udeschini, Johnathon Pennie-Jacobs, Jillian Pennie-Jacobs, Jennifer Hutton, Lesley Hutton-Rhora, Sarah Stewart, Scott Stewart, many great-nieces, great nephews and extended family members.

Susan enjoyed a wonderful career working with people with developmental disabilities at various sites in Ontario. Her passions were playing her cello, music, reading and the theatre. She was also quite good at golf, fishing and taking care of all our pets over the years. She will be remembered by many.

A sincere thank you to the St. Marys Memorial Hospital staff; they provided thoughtful and amazing care in Susan’s time of need.

As per Susan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place in St. Marys Cemetery at a later date.
