Obituary of Jennet Van Westerop

Jennet Van Westerop, resident of Lakeside and formerly of Kincardine, passed away at Victoria Hospital, London, on July 19, 2026 at the age of 60.

Daughter of Richard Pockett and the late Jean (Thomas). Beloved wife of Frank, whom she married on February 9, 1991. Cherished mother of Paige Van Westerop. Sister of Steven Pockett and remembered by all of her dear friends.

Jennet’s caring and compassionate personality endeared her to so many. She will be greatly missed by family, childhood friends, and her weaving, biking, horse and rodeo communities.

A sincere thank-you for the care Jennet received at Stratford General Hospital Chemo ward and the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre at Victoria Hospital in London. In lieu of flowers, donations to either those hospital foundations would be appreciated.

Cremation to take place. A private gathering will be held by the family with a celebration of life to take place on Sunday, August 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. at River Valley Golf Course.
