Thinking of everyone and her family at this time that shared in Mabels Beautiful Life. My parents Elva and Austin Timms knew Mabel very well and shared many happy moments in her life. She was an amazing lady knowing her as growing up. Also knew her Brother George and Marie wonderful people. Wow she lived an amazing life and had a heart of gold. Mabel will be missed terribly but knowing she had a beautiful life she shared with many. RIP Mabel. Sending Love, Hugs and Prayers to her Family.

Mabel was a fixture at a little church circle we have on Sunday mornings at the Kingsway. Even at 100 she would walk the long hallway and invite friends to come along. Her feet would tap along as we sang the old hymns and she would always apologize when my sermons put her to sleep. She was a card writer and we usually had a beautiful message from Mabel on special occasions. I will miss her and would like to express my sympathy to her family at this time. I look forward to seeing her again as we …gather by the river that flows from the throne of God.

Our sympathy to all of Mabel’s family. My mother Cora Martin had been a friend of Mabel’s through the Farm Women’s Club a group of ladies mainly from Downie Township. She knew of me and was always interested in what my family was doing and we chatted about this on our visits. What wonderful thoughts she could express in her tiny perfect hand writing up to the time of her passing. I feel fortunate to have had a lovely little visit with her and she was bright as ever a couple of weeks before her passing. She always said she was blessed. I feel blessed to have known such a kind and thoughtful lady.

My sympathy to Mabel’s family, whom she loved dearly. Mabel was a kind, considerate, lovely soul who was always thinking of others with her sending of cards and her beautiful messages. Mabel was a childhood friend of my Mom’s family, as they attended Cherry Grove school. A life well lived.

Deepest sympathy to the complete family circle . Mabel was a very special lady. Maurice and I were honoured to be asked to take her and her good friend Joyce Nethercott to see the Stephen Truscott play in the Blyth Theatre . It was always a delight to see Mabel walk the halls in Kingsway Retirement Home. She will be missed here but oh’ so happy in her home in heaven for eternity.

Brenda and the Ballantyne Family.....
It was a pleasure to have known Mabel and especially visiting with her at Kingsway. We had many a good chat about life, faith and the area in general. She had a wonderful memory and an interest in many things. She was great at sending cards and notes, one of which my daughter got just over a week ago for her birthday. (she was a former employee there). A long life well lived, as may your memories bring you joy, comfort and peace. May she be blessed by the comforts of heaven. Thinking of you.

Great Aunt Mable, she lived up to the Great part. My Great Aunt Mable always remember my children's names birthday's and their children. She sure exceeded the title of Great Great Great Aunt. My visits with her always ended with a hand knit wash cloth. A most amazing woman. Im sure Her faith has Heavens gates open wide with Angels singing her welcome. Will miss this monarchy of our family.

Very sorry to hear of Mabel’s passing. I will miss the cards and letters and stickers we exchanged over the years. She loved to put stickers on her cards she sent. Got to know Mabel while she lived on the farm. She was a kindhearted soul and she will be missed.

Great Aunt Mabel was a quiet, sweet lady with a gentle demeanour and we always had lovely conversations when we were together. She was very generous with her time and she demonstrated a concern for others. We wish her peace.

About ten years ago, the St. Marys Museum did a special project about the women who worked at Maxwells during World War 2, helping to manufacture grenades. Mabel had been one of the teenage girls who were part of that wartime workforce. She willingly shared her stories about that experience and we learned so much, thanks to her great memory. I think she must have been the last surviving member of that remarkable group of young women, the “Grenade Girls.”

Great Aunt Mabel was the sweetest, kindest and most gentle person. I loved our visits and many cards over the years. We have kept them all. We will cherish our memories with her.

Mable was a wonderful lady.She liked to pull milkweed out inthe fied always she didn't like that stuff. The kids loved to go there for Halloween to get her home made fudge. Always sent Birthday cards to everyone. She will be missed by all. Deepest sympathy to all the fsmily
