Sandra, Nancy, Brian and Sharon and family please accept our deepest sympathy on the passing of your Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa. My Mom and Dad, Jim and Shirley Green, knew George and Darlene for many, many years, starting just before your Mom and Dad's Wedding. Our families got together for card nights and visits throughout my childhood. Lots of good memories through the years in Chatham and St Marys. I have always considered our families to have a special relationship because Uncle George (my Dad’s younger Wood brother) married Aunt Darlene (my Mom’s younger Mifflin sister) so my cousins Sandra, Nancy, Brian and Sharon were more like my younger siblings. My heart goes out to you for the loss of your Dad. I know how much he meant to all of you.

Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to George’s family. He was a true family man and gentleman. He and Darlene would walk up to Wildwood and visit with my mom and of course play a few hands of euchre. Loved being able to chat with him when he lived at Fairhill. My sincere condolences to the Wood family. We had the pleasure of walking with George on the Grand Trunk for years. We met when he would be walking with Darlene and Teddy. As the years went by we just walked with George. He took beautiful care of Darlene, I bet she was waiting with open arms for him. George was a true gentleman.
