Obituary of Cheryl Anne McNaughton

It is with deep sadness and love, the family of Cheryl Anne McNaughton (Gricken) announce her unexpected and sudden passing on March 2, 2025 at Lakewood Ranch Medical Centre at the age of 66 years young. Cheryl was born on October 8, 1958 in Kingston Ontario to Roy and Marion Gricken.

Throughout her life, Cheryl was known for her kindness, ability to make people laugh, love for her family and friends, being the life of the party, and sharing the joy she had for all that life had to offer. She spent her working years at Veterinary Purchasing before retiring and spending her days at the beach with her beloved friends, ‘glamping’, travelling, and buying all the shoes she could. Cheryl spent every moment she had with her family attending sports games, playing cards, going to racing events, and anything else that meant she got to be with those she held closest to her heart.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband Randy McNaughton, her mother Marion Gricken, Step-Children Holly (Edwin), Kyra (Abe), and her grandchildren, Farra and Kiana. She lives on in memory through her sisters Pamela, Suzanne(Robert) and Janice. She was loved by many nieces, nephews and their children; Steven and Amy (Jordan, Chelsea and Hailey), Kristy and Nate (Maxwell and Ethan), Curtis and Jessica (Cooper and Mila), Mitchell and Sarah (Calla), Rachael and Scott (Marlowe), and Jessica.  She was preceded in death by her father Roy, and sister Deborah.

A celebration of life will be held on April 19, 2025 from 12 - 4pm at the ST. MARYS GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB, 769 Queen Street East St. Marys, where she and her husband married 17 years ago.

A private funeral service will be held for the family.

The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses and all other staff at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center for the care they provided during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a donations to be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
