To Carlye’s family.
We were so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. We used to call on him quite often when we had a skunk in the cage. He always solved the problem. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time

Our sincerest heartfelt condolences to Tara, Heather, Matt, and Grandchildren. Duff meant the world to us, he was my husband's great longtime hunting buddy. He was a wonderful friend that would do anything for our family, and ask nothing in return. He was such a big part of our lives, and will be forever missed.

Sending my heartfelt condolences.
Duff was such a special part of our lives. His kindness and stories will always be remembered. He wasn’t just my parents’ friend; he was part of our family and I feel so lucky to have grown up with “Nanny Duff” in our lives. He was always there when we needed him and even when we didn’t know we did. His presence is something we’ll always be grateful for and we will truly miss. This photo of him walking with our daughter means so much. It captures the gentle and caring soul that he was.
Thinking of you all and sending love.

Your Dad was kind, honest and trustworthy. While he liked to be the rebel and tell stories, he would also do anything he could to help you out. We will all miss him.

Got to know Duff by accident, through Reg and Brain. Always had time to talk. I will miss his coming for eggs, and he always had an upbeat tale of a happening in the community. My daughter asked his real name, and he told her and said he hated it, so just call me Duff. Got to love a man like that. Sorry for your loss!

Oh what a sad day to hear of this great loss to the community where he was well known. Known to be a jokester and definitely a talker. I remember the story he told me a few years back when I saw him with a cane and asked how he was keeping. He told me he had experienced a sort of putting his foot in his mouth situation before but this was more like a shooting myself in the foot instead! He proceeded to explain that he was going to shoot the very sick dog in the back field and he ended up literally shooting himself in the foot instead!! He was always smiling and laughing and flirting with all of the ladies! He was a good friend and neighbour! He will be missed. Tara, Heather, Matt and the rest of the Westman family we send our sincere condolences to you all during this very difficult time. May it bring you some comfort knowing how he was cared for and Peace be with him and with you all.
