Last year, I was going through some of my old journals when I came across an entry about Ann -- describing one of our junior choir practices at Granton United Church. It read: "Mrs. Bryan, the organist and choir leader said we that don't smile enough. She started making funny faces to get us to smile but we laughed so hard, we couldn't sing." Throughout her life, even when she was going through hardships, she always managed a smile for others. Rest in peace, lovely lady. Linda and Arden, I am sending hugs to you and your family. Sincerely, Alison (Brown) Little

Arden, Linda, and families: Our deepest condolences. Aunt Ann was truly one of a kind. Thinking of her voice and laugh will always make us smile. Her love of cats, her stories, her many talents, generosity and vibrant personality, will be greatly missed. Despite the sadness of her passing, I can’t help but feel Psalm 100 spring to mind when I think of Aunt Ann: “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord… Serve the Lord with gladness, come before His presence with singing… Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise…”
Love from Becky (Bryan), Jeremy and Evelyn Howe

To Arden, Linda, and families,
Sending sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. She was such a cheerful lady and a talented musician. As a young child attending the Granton United Church, she could sing the highest notes I had ever heard! She would play the organ or piano with such grace. She always had a kind word to say. Thoughts and prayers sent your way during this time of mourning and reflection on a life well lived.

Dear Arden, Linda and families. So sorry for the loss of your mom. I enjoyed seeing and chatting with your mom at my parents anniversary last summer. She always had something witty to say. Many fond memories of her being our organist at the Granton United Church and leading us in choir practice in my much younger days! My mom loved getting together with the lunch bunch for many years and will miss her dearly. Hold on to your precious memories while you grieve her loss.

Arden and Linda, my condolences on the passing of your dear mom. What a fun and energetic lady she was. Always full of fun stories and willing to entertain. I knew your mom from St.Marys Presbyterian church but also from our Hope For Haiti group. I especially recall our trip to Uganda where we lie in bed on the first night listening to what sounded like someone talking and running around outside our hut. Of course we were frightened and huddled under our covers, wondering what was out there, and if we were going to be attacked. All of a sudden your mom began to sing which set us into fits of laughter. This continued until we both fell asleep out of sheer exhaustion. We discovered the next morning it was just an old billy goat which again put us into a fit of laughter and the singing began again.
I will ways remember your mom’s beautiful voice, her kind and thoughtful giving to others, sewing, her love of cats, stories of her adored grandchildren and of course her delightful humour. She was a lady of many talents. Rest in peace dear Ann and I’m sure you are singing in Heaven as I write this.

She loved her family, playing the piano, singing, sewing, reading and her kitties. She faced her health issues head on and with dignity. I will miss her.

Arden, Linda and families,
I am so sorry to hear that we have lost Ann. A remarkable, witty, interesting, talented, hard working and sincere lady. We attended church together for many years and travelled together on some of our Hope for Haiti trips. We were often room mates on those trips and although she would talk your ears off, I enjoyed her company and appreciated her sense of humour. When she finally would settle in for the night, she would jokingly say, "I'll let you know when I'm asleep." This always made me laugh. I will miss her a lot. I pray you will find comfort in the warm memories of your mom and know that her sparkling light will shine on through her family.

Ann was a wonderful woman. So full of life and such an appreciation from music and cats. I still remember the first time I met Ann, I arrived at her home with Linda and a dress in tow… she was reluctant, but ended up helping me with a sewing project.
She fought a long and hard battle with such bravery.
It was a pleasure to know you Ann
