Although I didn't deal much with George, I remember him as a kind man with a great sense of humour. However, you can often see the greatness in a husband and wife in their children and grandchildren. This legacy shows that his time on earth was special. While his chapter in life is finished, the story continues through his influence on others.

I will never forget his kindness and his patience so many years ago when I first arrived at Westover and we needed his services often. He always came straight away and always gave me a reassuring look that it would all be ok and not to worry, he managed to fix everything. There is a special place in heaven for kind souls like him. We were saddened to read that George has passed away. We enjoyed knowing him and the Holroyd family when we ministered in the Presbyterian Church. It was even mentioned to me that we looked a lot like each other! The Lord comfort and sustain you at this time of such unwelcome change. Hello Norma just heard about George's passing--so many years since the Holroyd families gathered. Our condolences to you and your family. Our Susan keeps in touch with your Susan on FB--So many family members gone--think you knew that Jack and I married after we lost Betty and Bruce--over 20 years already. Loved all the pictures-you have a beautiful family! We now have 6 grandkids and two great grandkids but all living away from Collingwood--Alberta and Louisville Ky.
