Obituary of Donald M Berry

Donald M Berry passed away peacefully in Stratford General Hospital on April 25, 2021, after spending over 2 comfortable years in Cedarcroft Place, Stratford.Cherished brother of Albert Berry, brother in law of Maria Teresa Mendez and uncle of Elizabeth and Marisa Berry. He was predeceased by father Earl Berry and mother Grace Mitchell Berry.Donald grew up on the family farm on the 4th line of Blanshard Township, amidst large extended families on both the Berry side and the Mitchell side. He attended St. Marys and District Collegiate Institute before going on to study classics at (then) Waterloo Lutheran University. After teaching there briefly he switched fields to study at the Toronto Chiropractic College, teach there and begin a private practice in Toronto. After a few years he moved his practice to St. Marys, then to the home farm; he was well known in the neighbourhood for his professional skills and his concern for his patients. Apart from his profession, Donald had deep interests in religion, in photography and in trains, which he loved to patronize and defend.Those wishing to have a private viewing time, before Monday, May 3, 2021, please call the Andrew L.
