Obituary of Nelson Leonard Coddington
Nelson Leonard Coddington, March 29, 1950 – January 16, 2018. With all the love and strength from our children, grandchildren and families Nelson passed peacefully away at Stratford General Hospital at the age of 67 years.Missing him dearly is his wife Linda of 35 years, daughter Rebecca and Warren Haley Springford, son Gregory and Monica of Edmonton AB, son Eric and Kayla of London, and son Bradley and Jenn of Ottawa. Left with precious memories of Grampsie are his six grandchildren, joys of his life, Sam, Alex, Zack and Mark Haley from Springford and Natalie and Avery Coddington of Edmonton. Left mourning Nelson are his family: brothers Jack (Betty), Jim (Karen), Bill (Sally), sisters Marg (Arnold DeLong), Ruth Fletcher, June (Leonard) Pickering, Helen (Rob) Chesterfield, Marianne Coddington, Jean Carrol (Jim), sister-in-law Brenda Coddington and Pat Coddington, brothers-in-law Joe (Toni) Carroll of Stratford, Clarence (Maureen) of St. Johns NL, Bern (Joann) and Dave (Sharon) of Pasadena, NL, sisters-in-law Ruth (Roy) Parsons, Madonna (Rob) Manuel, Marg (Ed) Manuel, Alice (Glenn) Penney NL, Della (Barry) Smith St. Marys, Trish (Cordell) Wicks, NL. Mother-in-law Marina Carroll of Pasadena NL.Predeceased by mom and dad Audrey and Jack Coddington, brother Ken, brother Lawrence (Baldy), brother-in-law Murray Fletcher, sister-in-law Joyce Coddington and father-in-law John Carroll.Nelson was the owner of R&N Construction established in 1977. We are all very proud of all he has accomplished. MARYS UNITED CHURCH, 85 Church St. S., St. Marys) on Friday, Jan. 19 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the church on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Doug Loucks officiating. Interment in St. Marys Cemetery.
