Obituary of Laura Ruby Shaw

Laura Ruby Shaw, passed away peacefully with family by her side in Stratford General Hospital on October 13, 2018 at the age of 82.Predeceased by her husband Eugene “Sib” Shaw (2000), son Richard Shaw (2013) and grandson Mason Christopher Shaw (1992). Survived by her son Steve and his wife Alison and daughter-in-law Kristina Shaw and her husband Paul Guenette. Grandmother “Mugga” to Connor, Ryan, Tate and Colton. Sister of Verna Blackler, Emma Carruthers, Carmen Stacey, Audrey Sanchez and her husband Louis of California, sister-in-law of Ann Stacey, Doreen Stacey, Wayne Shaw and his wife Iola, John Shaw and his wife Marjorie, Aleda Cluff, Kenlynn Bell and Bernice Shaw. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Ruby (Weir) and Bert Stacey and parents-in-law Jessie “Marion” (Gibson) and Hurley Shaw, brothers Ray and Oliver Stacey, brothers-in-law Burns Blackler, John Carruthers, Bob Bell, Glen Shaw, Jerry Chapman and his wife Dianne.Cremation to take place with a private family burial in St. Marys Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Open House will be held at the St. Marys Royal Canadian Legion, 66 Church St. N., St. Marys, on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 2 – 4 p.m. with Words of Remembrance at 3 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation, Stratford General Hospital Foundation or the St. Marys Legion.
