How true that Paul has left to soon. One of my favorite pictures is of Paul and me standing in my crib. We are about 18 months-old and both look like deer caught in the headlights. It seemed that our lives took completely separate paths but in that strange way the universe has of bringing people back together Steve found Paul and you quite by accident through the mutual love of wine and good food. We will remember Paul with joy and a toast to a life well lived.

I wasn’t close with Paul outside of work (I’m a wine rep) but I can say in my 20 years in this business he was one of my very favourite people. From my first days as a naive young kid out of school, he generous gave me his time and knowledge of the business when not everyone would. I always entered the store he was working thinking “I hope Paul is in today”. If he treated me so kindly as a casual acquaintance, I can only imagine what an absolute gem he was to his friends and family. Sorry for your loss.

Dear Heather and Paul, as I watched the Mass today July 24, had fond memories of us together in Scotland on the Royal Scotsman train from Edinburgh to the Highlands, night journey, many fun times in the bar car listening to Scottish tales and music and enjoying red wine, and one evening quite late the 'boys" we were still up chatting away and Paul too having a good time, and I hear Heather saying to Paul, "Paul, its time to go"....and he looked at you, and said are you sure? and you nodded and he said, OK, and went out with you, but i know he wanted to stay a bit longer........but glad he did go cause we all had plenty of spirtis that night! Wonderful man Paul is, and by the way love the photos in Memory here of you and Paul as a young couple and Paul playing the piano? I didnt know he was musical! LOL God bless Paul and you Heather; so happy to have been friends for decades now. Love Kim Ps; Thanks Paul for letting Heather out of Canada to go on trips with me to Peru and Portugal as these photos show; but our trip to Scotland with you was a highlight! (need to fine one with you on the train)

Looking back in time, I cherish so many great memories of Paul, most of which were accompanied by great dinners, lots of laughs, and certainly a pairing of a really good wine or a special/rare beer. Christmas and Easter dinners at my uncle John and Anne's house, along with Paul and Heather were so beautiful, and I will always hold those moments in my heart. Paul you will be truly missed by many, but your memories like a fine wine will always be remembered and appreciated forever.
