Obituary of Eleanor Louise Nowak
Eleanor Louise Nowak passed away peacefully at Kingsway Lodge, St. Marys, on March 1, 2017 in her 88th year.Born and raised in Chatham. Graduate of Western University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, 1952 and worked a 35-year career in nursing, during which she was a nursing instructor at Canadore College in North Bay. Beloved mother of Geoffrey, Wendy Dadswell, Peter, Cindy Nowak (Bill Mitchell), and Paula Nowak-Droog (Paul). Beloved Gram of Matthew, Julie, Eric, Terry, Tamara, Annie, Jenna, Kayla, Kyra, Jacara, and Janieka.Beloved daughter of Sydney and Isabella Morse. Dear sister of Mary Kenny, Sonny Morse, Stanley Morse, Janet Smiley, Pat Morse, Harriet Bauer, and Richard Morse.Eleanor’s faith was always a great comfort and source of strength to her. She was always appreciative to have people join her in prayer. Eleanor loved music and singing, and had a deep connection to art and nature. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family and her love of people. She was deeply grateful for the care and love she received from the staff at Kingsway Nursing Home.Family and friends are invited to HOLY NAME OF MARY PARISH, Northeast corner of Peel St. N. and Widder St. E., St. Marys, on Saturday, March 4, 2017 for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with Father Philip Joseph officiating. Interment in St. Marys Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to Holy Name of Mary Parish or the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
