I had the pleasure to marry in to the Brookshaw family. Ray was my wife Tracy’s uncle. I was fortunate enough to know Ray, or Tick as I knew him, for the last Ten years. I was lucky enough to work on my father in law Stan’s farm with him, share a joke over a drink and play a lot of crokinole with him. I was usually on the losing end of those games as Ray had a wicked crokinole finger. Our 5 year old son Rebel loved his uncle Tick and would light up when he saw him. Ray would talk with Rebel and listen to anything and every thing he had to say. I’ll miss his smile, sense of humor and happy demeanor. I’m a better man for knowing you my friend. Godspeed.

He loved to bring me up to date on the farm and how family was doing. I will miss his funny sayings and unique ways. He had a heart of gold. We shared many laughs for sure. I spoke to him while he was walking when I was up last, his smile will be missed.
