Obituary of Doreen Stacey

Doreen Stacey (Cappa), passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday December 30th at the age of the 85 at St. Marys Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband Ray Stacey (2005). Survived by her daughters Linda Stacey, Donna and her husband Jim Robertson, Dianne Stacey and husband Bert Osborne and her son Jim and his wife Susan Stacey. Loved by her grandchildren Holly and Michael Robertson, Trevor and Jamie Hogan, Hannah and Isabelle Stacey and great-grandson Hunter Robertson. She will be greatly missed by her beloved dog Sasha Stacey. Loved by many nieces and nephews.Doreen is predeceased by her sister Mary Holliday and her husband Ernie, brother John Cappa, brother Louie Cappa and brother-in-law Murray McCandless. She is survived by her sister Pearl McCandless and brother Finnie Cappa and sisters-in-law Phyllis Street and Italia Cappa. Sister-in-law of Verna Blackler, Emma Carruthers, Carman Stacey, Audrey Sanchez and her husband Louis of California, and Ann Stacey. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Burns Blackler, John Carruthers, Oliver Stacey, and Eugene Shaw and sister-in law Laura Shaw.Family and friends are invited to the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys, on Sunday, Jan 6, 2019 for visiting from 1 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Mark McKim officiating. Cremation to follow. An Open Reception will take place following at the St. Marys Golf and Country Club, 769 Queen St E, St. Marys.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation, First Baptist Church of St. Marys or St. Marys Mobility Bus.
