Obituary of Jack Kittmer

Jack Kittmer, passed away peacefully, at the home that he built, with his family and beloved pet Mickey by his side on September 14, 2017 at the age of 82.Survived by his loving wife and friend Janet Kittmer (Hutchison) married March 13, 1989. Father of Cathy Konarski, Jacqui Glaab (Matt), Susan Marland (Philip), Mike Kittmer, Sherry Saunders (John), John Kittmer (Sandra) and step-children Connie DeGraaf, Cathy Messenger, and Brett Messenger (Jack). Grandfather of Jason Konarski, Stephanie Konarski (Geoff), Trevor Glaab (Cathy), Terry Glaab (Val), Shawn Glaab (Suzy) Jeff Glaab (Hernando), Rachel Marland (Alan), Melissa Robichaud (Dan), Daniel Marland, Cherissa Kittmer, Devon Saunders, Erik Ross, Hannah Ross, Emily Messenger, Olivia Messenger Reed, Isabelle Zacher, Matthew DeGraaf, and Great-grandfather of 18 and Great-Great-grandfather of 2. Brother of Ken Kittmer (Mary), Bob Kittmer (Verlyn), sister-in-law Donna Kittmer, brother-in-law Jim Hutchison, Ross Hutchison (Cindy) and many nieces and nephews.Predeceased by his parents Ida (Robinson) and Bill Kittmer, brother Jim Kittmer, grandson Spencer Konarski, great-granddaughter Jade Konarski.Jack was a 30 year employee at Hutton Transport and spent his retirement traveling, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with his family.His family would like to thank the nurses at the Stratford General Hospital Dialysis Unit, St. Elizabeth and CCAC.Cremation has taken place. Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. South St. Marys (519-284-2820) on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.Memorial donations may be made to Stratford General Hospital Dialysis Unit.
