To Joan, Don, RuthAnne, David & your families. You don’t know me however I got to know your Mother very well when I moved temporarily to St. Marys to help my Aunt & Uncle, Alice & John Hawkesworth. They were close friends with Betty & members of Brown’s Church, after my Uncle John stopped driving Betty would pick them up & take them to church. The three years I lived in St. Marys gave me the gift of spending valuable time with my Aunt & getting to know her friends your Mother was such a lovely person with that infectious, beautiful smile & I was lucky enough to have some of her lovely desserts. My thoughts & prayers are with you in the loss of this gracious & fun lady, your precious Mom. I live in Woodstock & only heard of the loss today I have watched the service which was lovely I’m so glad I was able to have access to it. I think of Betty often, keep all those precious memories in your hearts. Charmaine Farrell

My sympathy goes to all Betty's family. I will always remember working with her at meals and luncheons. She was at home in the kitchen and always wanted to have everything presented perfectly. I certainly enjoyed her ribbon jellos. We sat together in the choir and often had some chuckles. She is missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
