Obituary of Judith Sleeper

After an incredibly strong and courageous battle, Judith Margaret Rose Sleeper peacefully passed away in her 75th year with family by her side on June 7, 2018 at Victoria Hospital Westminster Campus London, Ontario.She is sorely missed and survived by her husband Orval Gene Glenn Sleeper, of London, for 52 years. She is also survived by her five children, Todd Sleeper (Deanne Ellis) of St. Marys, Wendy Lucas (Rick) of Peterborough, Jodi Thibodeau (Wayne) of London, Lee Watson of Wellburn and Sue Coveny (Pat) of St. Marys. She will be also missed by her 17 grandchildren: Brittany, Nicole, Nicole, Tyler, Hope, Nathan, Ryan, Jamie, Kayla, Emma, Cassandra, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Jake, Liam, Rebecca, Cody and 4 great-grandchildren: Logan, Rowan, Brynlee and Ella.Judith worked at the Wildwood and Dearness Nursing Homes as a very compassionate and loving health care provider. Dearly missed by her most wonderful friends Florence, Alice, Joanne and Janet. Judith was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, London Knights, Toronto Blue Jays, enjoyed tennis, golf and was an Olympic supporter. If sports were on, she was there.Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S., St. Marys (519-284-2820) on Sunday, June 10, from 2 – 4 p.m. The Memorial Service will be conducted at VILLAGES UNITED CHURCH OF CANADA, 34500 Granton Line, Granton, on Monday at 1 p.m. A Celebration of Life -open to all- will then be held at the St. James Masonic Lodge, 10 Thames Rd. St. Marys, following the service starting at 3 p.m.
