Obituary of Clare Thomson

Robert “Clare” Thomson passed away peacefully at Kingsway Lodge, St. Marys, on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the age of 87.Beloved husband of the late Eleanor G. Thomson (White), whom he married on Sept. 9, 1950. Loving father of Marty (Tracey), and Kelvin (Bev). Proud grandfather of Ryan, Justin, Brittany (Mike), Emily (Tyler), Samuel (Shelby), and great-grandfather of Taylor and Tristan. Survived by his sister Audrey Gould. Predeceased by his parents Lyle & Bessie Thomson.Cremation has taken place. Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. South, St. Marys (519-284- 2820) on Friday January 6, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. The Memorial Service will take place at ST. MARYS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 147 Widder St. E., St. Marys, on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Marys Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, St. Marys Presbyterian Church or to a charity of choice.
