Joe and Jacquie Walsh posted a condolence
Dear Mary Ellen, Mike, Sarah and Linda: I am very sad and surprised to hear about your dad. He was such a kind and considerate person. During the last few days of my Mom's life, she spoke highly of Joe and shared her deep regard for him. There was a lot of history between our parents! Mom and Joe were the last of an era of St Marys people; i.e. the Irish Tour Group, Catholics, life-long (mostly) citizens of St M, card playing & simple pleasures friends, etc. He was quick to visit Mom when I relayed her health status to him and I could tell he was sad yet happy to see her and reminisce, close the end. Joe was truly a gentleman, in every way! Our deepest condolences and love. (Sorry for this delayed message.)

Mary Ellen, Mike, Sarah and Linda I was so sorry to learn of the passing of your father. Joe was one of the most pleasant, kind and thoughtful men I have ever worked with; a true gentleman. I will always remember his hearty laugh as he enjoyed a good joke and readily reciprocated with one of his own in turn. My thoughts and prayers are with you all today as you say goodbye to your wonderful dad. He will always be a part of who you are and will continue to watch over you all. Doris Sloan

My sincere sympathy to all the family members of Joe. Every now and then a person comes along who you admire for the fine qualities they share with others. Your dad was that man. Always a smile or a laugh and a twinkle in his eyes. Your father was a man who loved his family and God. I recall being on parish council with Joe, he would listen to all sides of the issue, and then give us his opinion. He was a true gentleman, and always was a level headed individual who saw the good in everything. I cannot recall anything negative, that was not who Joe was. I loved to talk to him and will treasure his phone calls, "any room for me today". It was a pleasure to see both Joe and Jane, and I will keep them in my heart. My wish for the family is peace and love. Joan

I will miss my dear cousin Joe. I spoke with him every couple of months and loved to hear the laughter as we shared political views and family stories . My last conversation was mid June this year, as usual it was wonderful. I could tell he was weakening but also that he was very peaceful about his life. He was a groomsman at Clarence’s wedding and the MC at mine. He was the link between two generations. He was a comforting memory of Clarence ,my father. Rest in Peace❤️
