Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth Coulthard

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ruth Elizabeth Coulthard in her 93rd year at Kingsway Lodge, St. Marys with her family at her side on Feb. 12, 2019. She was predeceased by her husband Ellwood in 2006. They farmed in Downie Township and in later years were employees of the Upper Thames Conservation Authority. Ruth was also a member of the St. Paul’s Womens Institute. Ruth was the dear mother of Ruth Ann Gregory (Glen) of Woodstock, and Jane McKeever (Pat) of Mount Carmel. She was the proud grandmother of Sheri and Scott Burn of Innerkip, Mark and Kristen Gregory of Toronto, Matthew McKeever of London and Katie McKeever and Jason Webster of Parkhill and 7 great-grandchildren Lauren, Allison, Bennett, Cooper, Hewitt, Brooke and Brenton. She was the dear sister to Vera Pflance and Bonnie Plummer.Predeceased by her parents Gertrude and Earl Richardson, brother and sister-in-law Laverne and Margaret Richardson, brothers-in-law Don Pflance, Lloyd Coulthard and Garfield and Violet Coulthard.The last 9 years while living at Kingsway Lodge, she enjoyed the friendships that developed and the compassionate care of the Staff and special times playing cards.Family and friends are invited to the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys (519-284-2820) on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019 for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at Noon with Rev. Doug Loucks officiating. Interment to follow in St. Marys Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the St. Marys Health Care Foundation, Kingsway Life Care or to a charity of choice.
