Proud relative of Tolpuddle Martyr James Brine, Marg was born, lived and worked on one street, being a merchant with her husband for almost 60 years alone. She pursued many causes over her years to benefit her town including the United Church, Girl Guides, & the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Auxiliary among many others. Curling and Bridge were her favourite recreations right to the very end but she excelled at anything tried. Her modesty and manners masked a ferocious competitive streak. She loved her family first, but remained her whole life passionately proud of being a Canadian. Part of the “Greatest Generation” she will be missed by all that she loved or inspired.Cremation has taken place, a private family interment to follow in St. Marys Cemetery. Expressions of condolence or Memorial donations made be made to the Scleroderma Association of British Columbia or the Charity of one’s choice.
