Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Newton

Elizabeth Ann Newton (known to some as Betty) passed away peacefully on June 5th 2020 at her home in her 89th year with family by her side.Devoted and loving wife to Peter for 66 years. Cherished mother of Deborah Lemmons (Rob), Paula Sheldon (Allan) and Joanne King (Chris).She will be deeply missed by 8 grandchildren Andria Lemmons (Jeff), Michael Lemmons (Sarah), Sam Sheldon (Lisa), Laura Sheldon (Mike), Alison Sheldon (Mike), Stacey Sheldon (Jason), Patrick King, and Aimee King. Proud great grandmother of 7 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sister in laws Esvelda Newton and Joan Newton, as well as many nieces nephews and friends.Predeceased by her parents Ross and Aileen Marriott, brother in laws John Newton and Ken Newton.Elizabeth lived her entire life in St Marys and worked side by side with Peter in their two businesses, Newton Chrysler and Newton Auto Supply in Parkhill. She was the bookkeeper…… a skill that remained sharp to her last day. She was a sports enthusiast, golfer, expert knitter and loved travel.As per her wishes cremation has taken place to be followed by a family internment at St. Marys cemetery.Donations may be made to Stratford Rotary Hospice, War Amps, St .Marys Public Library or charity of your choice in memory of Elizabeth.
