Obituary of Adelle Richardson

Peacefully at Kingsway Lodge in her 93rd year and surrounded by her family virtually, Adelle Richardson passed away on April 27, 2020.She was predeceased by her husband and soulmate, Chuck on May 29, 2019. Loving mother to Linda McFadyen, Sue Marcaccio (Joe), Jill Richardson, and Charlie Richardson (Denise). Cherished Grandmother of Amanda (Mich), Shannon, Katelyn (Jared), Lindsay, Michael (Sarah), Emily and Isabel. Dear Great Grandmother to Zoey, Noelle, Leo, Charli, Bianca and Vincent.Born in Dearborn, Michigan, Adelle moved to Hamilton, Ontario when she was 2. She grew up in Hamilton where she was active in cheer leading, downhill skiing and she loved to dance. She married Charlie on October 7, 1950. She later moved to St. Marys and became very involved in her community. She was an avid golfer, curler, tennis player, and a member of the Wildwood Sailing Club. She was a member of the IODE and the Chancel Guild at St. James Anglican Church in St. Marys. She volunteered her time working for the Canadian Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels, the gift shop at St Marys Memorial Hospital and the Arthritis Society.Special thanks to all of the Nurses and PSWs, on the second floor at Kingsway and to Theresa Wakem and Zoie Thompson and all of their staff for the loving and compassionate care she received.Cremation has taken place. Burial and a celebration of Adelle's life will take place at a later date.Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Society and St James Anglican Church. She truly is dancing the night away with Charlie and we love you both to the moon and back.
