The Mainprize Family We will miss our casual conversations with Marian. She always had a story, a gentle laugh and words of wisdom. A teacher, a friend, and a dear member of our great community. “When you speak of her, speak not with tears, for thoughts of her should not be sad; Let memories of the times you shared give you comfort, for her life was rich because of you. “ Sending our sincere condolences. SO very sorry to hear of Marians passing. Everyone that knew her, knew she had a kind heart, and did her best at all things. She really DID care about her students.....and was a dedicated teacher. She always had a little story, when she met you, and it was as amusing to her as it was to us. The woman was a walking book of knowledge....if you had a question, she was the one to turn to!!! She will be greatly missed.....Those that knew her, never forgot her, and were lucky to know her. We remember her and Ken fondly.

Sympathy from the Verwers who all got to know her at Wildwood Park school where she taught for many years. My first memories of school were of starting Grade 1 with Mrs Mainprize, with her organized and neatly kept desk at the back of the classroom. She was an empathetic and thoughtful person who was always positive and articulate, even during her later years at the Wildwood Care Centre, and portrayed a wonderful example of how to age well. We will miss her.
