Obituary of Donna Lee Tagerty

Donna Lee Tagerty passed peacefully at the Wildwood Care Centre in her hometown of St.Marys on November 8, 2020.She was born January 6, 1940 and is predeceased by her parents, Elmer Lee Tagerty (1973) and Helen (Ellis) Tagerty (1983). Survived by her sister Vivian and brother-in-law John White, of California, niece Melissa Sanders (White) and children Calvin and Emily, nephew Christopher White and daughters Sydnee and Vaiya of Kauai, and nephew Jason White of California. She will be fondly remembered by many cousins in the Ellis family.Donna had several successful careers, in real estate, financial accounting, advertising, and in law firms in Toronto before retiring to St.Marys. She loved to travel and was a strong, independent woman with a keen wit and dry sense of humour that will be missed by those who knew her.The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Wildwood Care Centre and comfort care partners St.Marys Memorial Hospital and Dr. Wilson.As requested by Donna, cremation will take place and there will be no funeral service. Her final resting place will be the St.Marys Cemetery.Donations may be made in her memory to the St.Marys Friendship Centre, the St. Marys Mobility Bus Service or to the St.Marys Healthcare Foundation.
