Obituary of Stewart Trevor McLennan

Stewart “Stew” Trevor McLennan passed away on July 31, 2020 at his home with family at his side at the age of 74.Born in Huntsville, Ontario to parents, the late Archie Douglas McLennan and Dora (Hurst). He married the love of his life Elizabeth (Beth) McLennan (Bodenham), who passed away November 10, 2002. They were both 22 years old when they married on August 17, 1968.Stew will be remembered and loved by his children Rob McLennan (Jen), Erin McLennan, and Mike McLennan (Laura). Grandfather “Papa” of Brandon, Jami, Wes, Mariah, Jack, Max and Lilly. Great grandfather of Canaan, Zion, Eden, Broly, Olivia, Mylan, Brogan and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Brother of Joy Smith (Bert), Marlene Callacott (Jim, deceased), Ian McLennan (Margaret), Sandy McLennan (Tina), Marion Carney (John), Archie McLennan (Kellie). Stew will be missed by his dear friend Shirley Woods. Predeceased by his best friend Bob Weston. The focus of Stew’s life was being a Husband, Father, Grandfather “Papa”, Brother and Friend. An East-Coaster by heart, Stew enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a dedicated Hockey Coach in St. Marys for many years. AASOS- honorary winner of the Toilet Seat Award.Visitation will take place on Thursday, Aug. 6 and Friday, Aug. 7, at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys. Friends wishing to attend, please call the funeral home by Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 519-284-2820 to schedule at time to attend. Those who attend the visitation are asked to wear a mask.A Private Family Graveside Service will be conducted at the St. Marys Cemetery, on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 1 p.m. The service can be viewed on Facebook Live through the Andrew L.
