Obituary of Rita Major

Rita Major (Coyle) peacefully passed away at Kingsway Lodge on August 2, 2017 at the age of 87.Beloved wife of the late Emerson Major who predeceased her in 2013. Mother of David and Sally Major of Thorndale. Grandmother of William, Allison and Ellen. Sister of Patricia McIlhargey of Bramalea, and predeceased by her brother Jack Coyle and sister Marie Colbert. Rita will be remembered by several nieces and nephews.Her family would like to thank the supportive staff at Kingsway Lodge for their care and kindness.Cremation has taken place. Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. South, St. Marys, on Monday, August 7, from 7 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 8, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Philip Joseph officiating.Memorial donations may be made to the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation.
