Dennis and Linda Monteith
It is with deep gratitude and affection that we recall our special times with my fathers sisters. The sons and daughters of Andrew and Edith Monteith made considerable effort to stay connected and to share in the many social events and family celebrations that occurred over the years. Aunt Vernie was always willing to share time, stories and memories at these very special family gatherings. Thorndale fair parades were celebrated from their front yard which always included great food and good cheer. Vernie will always have a special place in our hearts. Thanks for all those memories.

We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your very special mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Oliverne was always a very interesting lady to talk to at family gatherings and wanted to hear what was going on in our family. It was great being able to say hello to Oliverne while visiting with my mother at Kingsway Nursing Home and being able to reconnect with her family members who were also there visiting.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Our sincere heartfelt condolences go out to the Fuller family. It’s so difficult to find the right words when someone as special as Aunt Vernie passes on. She was so giving and caring of others. She was an important part of our family and meant the world to us. I can’t remember a time when she wasn’t there. We are so fortunate to have such great memories. I remember for years Mom and Aunt Vernie driving into Loblaws together and coming home at the end of a long day only to hear the phone ring and Mom and Aunt Vernie would be chatting for hours. I remember saying “I’m going over to Aunt Vernie’s house” as her door was always open. I remember those amazing chocolate chip cookies!!!.....oh my gosh!!!! I can still see Mom and Aunt Vernie sitting side by side at Kingsway sharing a laugh or two. Thank you for everything Aunt Vernie!!! Thank you to the Fullers for sharing those beautiful pictures! Love to all

She was everyone’s favourite Aunt... always elegant, graceful and thoughtful,
Aunt Vernie was Dad’s youngest sister. She was “Flower Girl” at Dad & Mom’s (Ed & Mary) wedding, June 23, 1931. And at Aunt Oliverne & Uncle Charlie’s wedding, I was their “Flower Girl”.

We would like to express our heartfelt sympathies to the Fuller family. Aunt Vernie was a very loving, caring and amazing women. Living next door for all those years and spending countless hours there, she would always have fresh cookies, especially peanut butter balls, and offer them to me first, just to get John's reaction. She was always a strong presence in our family and will be forever missed but all her memories will live on. We will miss seeing her at our concerts at Kingsway Lodge. Aunt Vernie, I will always dedicate "Sentimental Journey" to you.

She was a lovely lady and always looked lovely.
I would see her many years ago through Aunt Marg and Uncle Jim Monteith and then at Kingsway where my mother (Jean Matheson) lived until she passed away in February.
Cherish all your memories.
