Dear Lorna, Randy, Tony , Carla and to Sandra as well. I have always enjoyed any interaction I had with Gary over the years. I fondly remember him popping by when we lived in Rannoch. He always loved to chat about horses, small animals and goats. His love for his family was always evident….especially Lorna. When I think of him I remember the pipe and his twinkling eyes when he would be enjoying a good story and laugh. Hold all of your memories close and be sure to speak of him often. Thinking of everyone. Many hugs. Linda(Currah) Mills

Aunt Lorna, Randy, Tony and Families,
We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Gary's passing. He was the last of Dad's family and is a reminder of all we had as a family. They were all men with big personalities and each of them bequeathed us with a love for animals and all things nature. I smile at some very special memories and one specifically is the special treatment I received while staying with you when one of my siblings was being brought in to the world.
But, many are related to the many horse trading events - well, all I can say is Uncle Gary could dicker with the best of them.
We do feel lucky to have a few chats with him on the trestle in the last couple years. He always had some relatable conversion to have with folks. He knew what was going on in the world. We'll miss him.
All our love to you all.
Cheryl & Ken

Dear Lorna, Randy, Tony and families
I'm sorry to read the news of Gary's death. I don't remember a time when I did not know your dad and have memories dating back to a very young age when you lived just up the Third Line there. I recall that he indulged our Grandpa McLean often, bringing him along as his 'sidekick' on one or another of his excursions - often involving horses of course! He had many stories to tell - right up to the last time we crossed paths on the Grand Trunk Trail a couple of years ago. He always took the time to talk, often ending it with the best laugh ever and a twinkle in his eye!
I've no doubt he'll be missed.
Fondly remembered by,
Betty Finnie

To Gary's Family and Friends: I saw Gary many times on the Grand Trunk Bridge in the spring and summer watching the beavers and having lots of conversations with folks who passed. I will miss him - very friendly, warm, and obviously loved watching the birds, wildlife in the area! May your loving memories of being with Gary comfort you at this difficult time!

Aunt Lorna, Randy, Tony, Sandra and Families;
Sorry to hear that Uncle Wimpy is gone. Have a lot of fine memories over the years! You just knew that he would have a comment on every subject under the sun and his logic could be interesting. The one thing you were sure of, was family and friends meant everything to him. He will be missed!
