Obituary of Anne Mildred Rowland

Anne Mildred Rowland passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday December 16, 2021 at the Rotary Hospice in Stratford at the age of 76.

Born in Falkirk Scotland to parents John and Agnes Houston. Longtime partner of Mike Bannerman. Cherished mother of John (deceased), and Spencer Rowland of London. Adored grandma of Brady, Sydney of London, and Sheldon of Boston. Dear sister of Jay and Rita of Bracebridge, Mary (deceased) and Jeff (Janet) of Ingersoll, Bob and Janice of St. Marys, and Donny (deceased).

Anne was an employee of the St. Marys PUC, longtime member and secretary treasurer of the St. Marys Royal Canadian Legion, an avid gardener, billeted Jr. B hockey players for the St. Marys Lincolns and was known as the “Cookie Lady.”

Cremation to take place. Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys, on Tuesday, Dec 21, from 2 to 6 p.m. The Memorial Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 11 am.

Both the visitation and memorial service will be reduced gatherings,which means we will not be asking for proof of COVID-19 vaccintion, but we must maitain a reduced capacity to allow for physical distancing.
