Michael was a good friend to my Dad while Dad was at Kingsway. He would play many a card game, often being my partner. We would meet at the Sunset for Chicken Wings & he usually had a beer as well. Willy would be there also..alot of laughs together! He loved when I would visit & Grady too. Hired the mobility bus over 6 yrs ago for Willy & Mike to come to the Dude ranch while I got married. He talked about that for weeks on end. He will be missed!
Forever in my thoughts & heart. Deepest & Heartfelt Sympathy to everyone...

Mike was a great friend to my father Robert King who was also a resident at a Kingsway Lodge. They both loved to play scrabble each day and tried to outdo each other with their knowledge of words.
Mike was such a kind, thoughtful man. Whenever I visited my parents at Kingsway I tried to take time to visit Mike.
When my Dad died in 2015 Mike missed playing the scrabble games.
Our thoughts and prayers go to all his family and friends. May your memories of this wonderful man continue in your hearts always.

Michael used to play scrabble and chess with my father at Kingsway Lodge. They thoroughly enjoyed each other's company. Our family is forever grateful for Mike's kind and thoughtful friendship with my father (who died in 2015). Michael had serious health issues but I never heard him complain. He was a good man that we will all miss. My condolences to his family. Sincerely, Paul King

To all the O'Hearn Family:
Please accept my sympathy on the death of your brother (father, grandfather, uncle) Mike. He was an outstanding man! I remember his cheerfulness in the face of suffering and his enjoyment of getting on his scooter and going out for a drive to visit relatives and friends or to go out for breakfast. Mike noticed many things and people when he was out and about on his scooter - it was he that first told me about the homeless people in St. Marys. I also recall how much Mike loved watching a hockey game especially if the Wings were playing.
May your memories of Mike be a comfort during this very sad time and may the thoughts and prayers of relatives and friends also help to comfort you.

A Mike O stop with a heartfelt greeting and some light conversation would make my day whether he passed in front of the house, Downtown, some where on a walk or in the halls of Kingsway. Mike always had a smile that felt like it was just special for you.
Thank you Mike for making St. Marys a friendlier place, making our Town much more worthy to live in.

We have many fond memories of Mike at all our family gatherings. He loved his family more than anything, and always had kind words and smiles for all. He faced his disability with dignity and with such a positive attitude. You would always see Mike and Jim going for breakfast each day, enjoying each others company. We were lucky enough to spend some time visiting with him the last few weeks, and when faced with the ultimate challenge, he still never complained. It was a privilege to have known him. We will keep all the memories close to our hearts.

Before Covid hit we were at Dave’s diner for breakfast and the conversation centred around where are the O’Hearn boys? They are always here for breakfast. Finally somebody sitting near a window yelled “oh here they come.” it’s OK. Mike will be sorely missed by breakfast crowd there.
Sincere condolences to his children and family

When I was a brand new PSW, I had the pleasure of assisting Mike at Kingsway lodge. His personality quickly came to light when he started calling me Mrs. Tennesse. After a few shifts I asked him why he called me that and he said with a huge smile and a laugh “Well you are the only 10 I see”. This continued for years as we saw each other downtown and when my daughter worked at Stonetown Coffee he introduced himself as Mr. Tennessee. He was deeply loved by all the staff and will be truly missed. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
