Percy was my bus driver for many years. He was everyone’s favourite. Each afternoon he’d call a lucky kid up to split a Coke with him. He made little wooden mice for the girls. He called my cousin Tiffany “Lampshade” haha I’m sure at the time we didn’t get it. He’d slow down and point out to us when he saw deer. He always had mints to share. After the high school kids got off, the younger kids would all move to the back of the bus. He always made the boys sit down and let the girls go first. He was just the best, I could go on.

I have many fond memories of spending time with Percy and Margaret, always welcoming and, of course, a cup of tea.
Many a New Year's Eve my late husband Frank and I enjoyed with them, it was something a bit stronger on those
occasions. I too have some of his craftsmanship, he was a perfectionist when it came to woodwork. My condolences
Cameron, Graham, and families.

Percy was my bus driver for years, he was a big part of our lives growing up, he cared for us all like his own, even when some kids needed a reminder on manners/respect.
Sometimes one of the older kids would sit upfront to help him see signs/road markers in the worst snowstorms, but always got us all home safely.
Some of us even got to ride up front with him near his window/controls lol and always had a mint for us,
I will treasure these memories forever & thankful to have had that time with him.
I searched the house for the wee wooden mouse he made me

So very sorry to hear of Percy's passing. He was my bus driver for many years and always the gentleman by making sure "ladies first" off the bus. I also remember him taking us to McDonalds, making us wooden mice in his woodworking shop and just treating us all so kindly. Hold tight to your wonderful memories and have comfort that he is reunited with his love Margaret. Thinking of you all.
