Obituary of Doreen Louise Distler

At Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, May 5, 2022, Doreen Louise (Lantz) Distler, resident of Country Meadows, Brunner and formerly of St. Marys, at the age of 81.

She passed away peacefully with her four daughters by her side. Born in Wilmot Twp. On Feb. 2, 1941, daughter of the late Armon and Dorothy Lantz. Predeceased by her husband Joseph Distler (2008). Loving mother of Joanne Messier, Pauline Distler, Marianne Lupton (Roger), CarolAnn Distler-Brant (Kirk). Sadly missed by grandchildren Stéphane Messier (Melissa), Céline Messier, André Messier Jr., Rachel and Robin Lupton, Ashley Brant and great-grandchild Jacob Messier. Also survived by her two sisters Marjorie Thaler, Audrey Schultz and nieces and nephews and their families.

Family and friends are invited to the Mapleview Mennonite Church, 2162 Perth Rd. 163, St. Marys, on Monday, May 9, 2022 for viewing and visiting from 1 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 2 pm. Interment to follow in Kirkton Union Cemetery.
