Obituary of David Kenneth Newton

David Kenneth Newton, age 60, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2017 at his home in St. Marys on Cobbles Hill Road.He is survived by his mother Joan Newton of Orillia, Ontario, his brother Douglas Newton (Jennifer), nieces; Jessie, Hillary of Canmore, Alberta and Nephew, Cole Haines of Brantford, Ontario. Dave is predeceased by his father Kenneth and his sister Jane. His beloved cat, Mygirl, will carry on as part of the family, changing residences and retiring to Orillia with Dave’s mother, Joan.Special mention to Dr. Chuck Gatfield, who was incredible with support for Dave’s journey during the past year, the staff at Victoria Cancer Clinic in London, ON, the caring and kind people at CCAC. Many thanks to 7 special friends who were faithfully by Dave’s side during his battle with cancer – Rob Staffen, Steve Jackson, Paul Graham, Steve Glover, John Urquart, John Bickell and Deb Munro. Our family is truly thankful to all his friends and family who visited and supported Dave, especially during the last year.Cremation has taken place. As per Dave’s wishes, a private memorial will take place at a future date.
