Obituary of Lan Feng Li Zhou

A tree is only as strong as its roots, and if our family is a tree, then Lan Feng Li Zhou was the foundational roots that nourished, cared for and enabled three generations of branches to flourish.

It’s with great sadness that we announce that Mrs. Lan Feng Li Zhou passed away on October 17, 2022. Living to the age of 97, she was born in Guangdong Province, China in 1925. While her husband passed away in her early years, she is survived by six children, two sons and one daughter living in China, and two daughters and one son living in Canada. She immigrated to Canada in 1989, living in St Marys and spending her final years in Stratford. She was very happy and grateful for her life and felt fortunate to spend her latter years in the beautiful country of Canada

She was a kind, hard-working, caring mother and grandmother and will be sorely missed. She was always full of love and concern for the grandchildren and was determined to see them grow and succeed. Her grandchildren in North America who she helped raise, Allan, Liana, William, Phillip and Linda will miss her dearly. Her grandchildren in China, Li Mingwei, Zhou Guangyao, Zhou Zixuan will no doubt equally feel her loss.

She can rest easy knowing that her legacy continues, with her great grandchildren, Sophia, Victoria and Éloïse are sure to grow strong with the support of the families she helped build.
