Obituary of Ben Damen

Ben Damen passed away peacefully surrounded by family at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on November 10th, 2022 at the age of 92.

Beloved husband of the late Gysbertha “Beppy” Damen, married in July of 1955, who predeceased him on November 3, 2020. Loving father of Burt (Carey) and Sue. Opa of Benjamin and Hilary. Survived by his remaining family in Holland and Canada. Predeceased by his brother Jan. Ben and Beppy immigrated to London Ontario in 1955.

A man of many hats, operating backhoes, cranes, motels, restaurants, power tools, and waffle irons - Ben was no stranger to challenges. A true lover of his many dogs and his Mercedes.

The family would like to thank Dr. Schiedel and the St. Marys Memorial Hospital.

Cremation has taken place. An interment service will be held in St. Marys Cemetery, 150 Cain
St. St. Marys, on Saturday, Nov. 19 th beginning at 1 pm in the Cemetery Chapel.
