Obituary of Frederick Vincent Gracey

Frederick Vincent Gracey, of St. Marys, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 11, 2023 at the age of 78.

Loving husband of Julia (Brown) for 51 years. Proud father of Dan (Shona), Julianne (Chris Holloway), Kelly (Tim Schultz) and Meg (Ryan Hayes). Legendary Upa to Lauren, Ella and Julia Gracey, Patrick, Owen and Charles Holloway, Colin and Jake Schultz and Henry Hayes. Also remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Audrey (Tinlin) Gracey, sister Virginia Mitchell, brothers Robert and John Gracey and is survived by sister Joanne Hart, and brother Bill Gracey.

Born in London, Ont., Fred proudly worked at CFPL TV London for over 30 years where he enjoyed producing and directing coverage of many local sports. Later in his career he created Gracey Productions. Fred was a faithful parishioner of Holy Name of Mary Parish and will be remembered for his love of golf, coaching his kids in minor sports and the St. Marys Lincolns. GO HABS GO. 

Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held followed by a public interment service at St. Marys Cemetery, 150 Cain St. St. Marys, on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 2:15pm.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Holy Name of Mary Parish.
