Obituary of Edburg Reiche

Edburg (Edda) Reiche - Sept.8, 1938 – July 20, 2023

Edda Reiche (nee Ambrosius) in her 85^th year passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 20^th, 2023.

Beloved wife of 60 years of Winfried Reiche, loving mother of Jorg and wife Delia and Heike Reiche. Forever cherished by grandchildren Lazaro and wife Parmida Reiche, Jasmine and husband Darrell Vitello, Julian Reiche and soon to be wife Miriam Cohen, Pierson Grasby and partner Kelly Chau, Ethan Reiche and partner Emily Veldhuis, and Liam McCann. Also survived by great-grandchildren Luca and Mirabella Vitello, and Roman Reiche.

Edda was born in Trier, Germany where she met her husband Winfried in 1959 and married in 1960.  They immigrated to Canada in 1963. Edda & Winfried operated Conroy’s Custom Butchery from 1970 to 1984 on Hwy 7 in Perth County, retiring to Dorchester.   Enjoying early retirement with her devoted husband, they enjoyed worldly travels together to sunny destinations over the years.   A marvelous baker, homemaker and loving Oma that adored the time she had with her grandchildren and great grandchildren that were the centre of her life.

There will be a private family service at Andrew L Hodges Funeral Home.
