I worked at the St. Mary's Independent from 2002 - 2004. It was my second job as a Graphic Designer. I still credit my hard work ethic and speed at which I work to Frank and the Independent 20 years later. I thank Frank for taking a chance on a young designer and letting me change the format and look of the paper and ads when I started there.
Thanks for being a great boss Frank.
Mathew Elpern, St Mary's Independent Graphic Designer from March 2002 - March 2004.

I was just thinking of Frank and wondering how he is. I enjoyed getting to know him and felt a deep connection with his spirit. He is definitely one of the most interesting and approachable persons I have known in St Marys and one I really missed seeing every Friday for his blueberry pancakes or fish and chips for supper. I have missed our discussions and that sense of humour and quick wit since my days at Riannas. Frank Doyle, you hard working, intelligent and inquisitive and gentle soul have been an inspiration to me. Your dedication to community is admiral. I wish You well in your new journey. may the ancestors provide your family with comfort as you will be missed by them now. Till we meet again baama pi my old friend. Kim

We were privileged to know Frank and to share our 4 grandchildren, Clara, Evelyn, Callum and Niall, with him and Margaret. Witnessing the love and devotion that Christopher, Eamonn and Francis had for their dad, we were reassured that family came first and that our grandchildren would be cherished by their paternal Papa. It is always very hard and very sad to lose someone that is so dear but there is much peace and acceptance to be found in knowing that Frank has gone to his everlasting home, strong in his faith that he would be with his Creator for all eternity. Our deepest sympathies and love as you grieve. Jim and Francine

To the Doyle family,
Please accept my sincere condolences. Frank was an amazing boss. He gave me my first career opportunity right out of college. He taught me how to work with clients and design the best newspaper. His witty humor and patient approach, helped me kick start my career in the right direction. He will be deeply missed. Thanks for everything Frank. Rest in paradise.

Christopher, Eamonn and Francis my thoughts and prayers are with you all. When we moved to Widder Street we were so lucky to have you as neighbours. We had a Frank on each side, Emily referred to your Dad as Mr. Frank and 23 years later she still does. Your dad always looked out for her and up until the last time I saw him he would ask how she was and when I would tell of her adventures he would have a big grin and shake his head and say "where did that time go". Please keep your heart memories close, he was so proud of all of you. With love, Julie

Our Deepest Sympathy to Chris, Eammon, Francis and families. We have know Frank and Margaret for many years, since the days that Clare coached all his boys in Baseball. Years later both Clare and I have had the privilege of working with your Dad at the Independent Newspaper. We have had many enjoyable interactions working together for the paper, often humour was involved. We will miss you, Frank.

Christopher, Eammon. Francis and extended families,
Conveying sincere condolences on the sudden passing of father and grandfather Frank.
My earliest association with your father goes back to 1971. At that time Frank curled in our St. Marys Industrial League with a team of fellows called Riff & Raff from Stratford at our "old St.Marys Curling Rink". Our appreciation and association has remained ever since. He will be missed. Rest in Peace my friend.

Frank was the first person with the Independent I ever met and very quickly it felt like he was part of the fabric of the newspaper and the town. I came to appreciate about Frank his passion, generosity, and kindness. Without Frank, I have no idea where I would be.
