Obituary of Sandra Janet Williams

Sandy passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on September 5. 2023 at the age of 76.

Beloved wife of 39 years, Ronald “Crow” Williams. Loving Mother of Lynn (Rick) Hainer and Cindy Swinkels (Carroll Robinson). Proud grandmother of Johanna and Mitchell Hainer. Will be missed by sisters Vi (Jack) Dill of Ottawa, Barb Hunter of Batchewana and very good friend Marie Mills. Also remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families and extended family and friends. Predeceased by parents Stanley and Violet Corbett.

Sandy was a proud member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary Army, Navy and Air Force Unit 261, Stratford, ON, and the Perth Regiment Veterans St.Marys Br.236 Royal Canadian Legion. She loved playing darts and attending meet draws at the ANAF St Marys on Friday nights. In her last several months, she enjoyed her time at Kingsway playing bingo and doing crafts.

 

Cremation has taken place.

Interment in St Marys Cemetery at a later date.

Friends and family are welcomed to Celebrate her Life at the ST. MARYS LEGION, 66 Church St. N., St. Marys, on November 17, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm. 


Words of Remembrance will take place at 6:30pm.

Please be aware that the St. Marys Santa Claus Parade is taking place the same evening. Queen St. will be closed to traffic from 7 to 9 pm.

 

Sandra’s family will be forever grateful to the staff at St Marys Memorial Hospital, Kingsway Lodge and the Happy Valley Family Healthcare Team for their caring and compassionate care of Sandy, Mom and Grandmother.
